Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy

My Approach
My approach to psychotherapy is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as understanding the holistic mind/body connection.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. Its goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind people's difficulties, and so change the way they feel, and ultimately behave.
During the counseling process, I educate clients about the causes of depression, anxiety and unhealthy emotions. We work together to change unhealthy patterns of thinking which, in turn, change the unhealthy emotions and behaviors.

CBT is an evidence-based practice that allows both the client and therapist to measure its effectiveness.
